Before Fame

As a child she would make clothes for her Barbies and at seven years old learned to sew on her grandmother's sewing machine. She graduated from Fashion Careers College with a degree in fashion design in 2012. Her senior year collection received much attention and even went to New York's Full Figure Fashion Week that same year. She joined Project Runway in 2015, won the season, and her collection was shown at New York Fashion Week in 2015.

In 2015 actress Gabourey Sidibe wore pieces from her collection to the Teen Choice Awards.

Family Life

She is the youngest of four children. Her grandmother passed away just before she heard about the Project Runway applications and she applied in honor of her grandmother's life.
